Curriculum Overview

Much of the work the children do this year will be taught through a topic based approach. We have got some fabulous topics lined up in year 2 such as Super Humans, Fire, Fire!, Let's Explorers, Minibeasts, Up the beanstalk and over the bridge, Marvellous Maps,plans and places.  Many of the National Curriculum subjects will be covered in our topics such as English, Science, Geography, History, Art and Design Technology. We hope the children will enjoy the activities we have planned!

English and Maths activities will take place each day. Children are organised into groups for some English and Maths lessons. Sometimes, the work will be differentiated to suit different abilities. Sometimes all children will work on the same tasks, but the outcome will vary.
